For the love of driving

Our first drive day of 2020 is here! A run to Re:Fuel at Mansell Raceway near Honiton in Devon on Sunday the 15th of March.

The event is open to Sports, GT and Supercars, and we will be meeting at the McDonalds on Tavistock Rd in Plymouth, from 7am for a quick chat and of course a McCoffee and maybe a McMuffin!

We will then be heading off at 7.30am for a 2-hour drive on a pre-planned route over the moors, before hitting the A38 at Chudleigh. We will then be heading up to the A303 and turning off at Honiton and head out to Mansell Raceway at Dunkerswell. We are aiming to be at Re:Fuel car meet for around 9.30am.

Entry fee to park up is £5 per car for which you will receive a free gift which can be exchanged for a free drink upstairs in the Mansell Cafe, where you can also get a great breakfast or lunch! Alongside the cafe, there is also artisan coffee and gourmet burgers available in and around the car meet.

GTTourz will be leaving the venue around lunchtime and you are welcome to follow us back via a different route (plan on the day). You are welcome to stay longer if you wish - Event closes at 5pm.

GTTourz is in touch with the guys at Re:Fuel and they are going to do their best to allocate us a parking area in and around the supercar area, but please be aware this may not be possible if we arrive too late, so we want to be away on time. All parking is on hard surfaces so please don’t worry about having to park on grass etc.

There is a great outdoor go-kart track at the raceway so if you fancy a bit of motorsport fun after your morning drive up, put your helmet in the car, as we may just have a couple of sessions on track. This is of course all dependent on availability, and GTTourz accepts no liabilities for anyone taking part. Mansell Raceway will require you to fill out entry forms and declarations before taking part in any of the sessions.

Please let us know if you are going to be attending the drive day on the GTTourz Facebook Events page.

If you haven’t been to Re:Fuel as yet then check out their website for all the info. Below is a snippet from their site that gives you a feel for what they are all about, and what you can look forward to seeing.

“Re:Fuel is the new home in the Southwest for anything with wheels to come and chill out at the weekends. We’re open to the public – and it doesn’t matter what you drive, everyone is welcome. You can grab a coffee, maybe something to eat, and check out the supercars, vintage cars, hot-rods and other cherished and unique machines that have turned up.”

“Our vision is to create an open venue for petrol-heads and enthusiasts to meet up, chill out and enjoy anything on wheels; cars, bikes, trikes and everything in between.”

“With a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy drinking quality coffee, eating great food and sharing stories of driving, restoration and how you came to own each wonderful machine – we hope Re:Fuel will attract enthusiasts from all over the Southwest, whether you bring your pride and joy, daily shed or the family wagon.”
