December the 6 to the 9th 2022 saw us run our inaugural GR Yaris tour through the Welsh countryside on Wales Rally GR in our newly acquired recce / lead car.
Red leader was joined by 8 other GR Yari, 6 in white and 2 in black, all with varying degrees of mod’s, with 1 even visiting Lichfield on route to the tour for a drive through style engine upgrade over lunch!
Following some really fantastic feedback, it certainly seems the event delivered on our mission statement, “For Love Of Driving” as everyone really enjoyed the hotels and route that we put together for this special GR tour.
The 500 mile route spread across 3 days, combined parts of our now, well tested Welsh supercar route, along with some very interesting and less familiar roads that ran past the forests used on the Wales Rally GB (WRGB) event run in 2001, the famous winner takes all battle between McRae and Burns held in the South of Wales.
Stage 2 and 3 of the tour took the cars past the famous stages of Dyfi and Dyfnant that featured on the final WRGB event in 2019, won by a GR Yaris of course!
